Are you both old and new?
Thankfully, she channelled another message from The Masters to clear my confusion. This massage, which I pasted below, explains the relationship between soul and incarnations. You may find it interesting, if you don't know it already.
"Dear one, we come to you to lighten the confusion between the readings and to illuminate the discrepancies you see.
Firstly, the soul energy of your soul is lifetimes old, it has incarnated many times on the planet - in different versions - and comes to Earth once again this time. Yet in this lifetime your soul itself is new; it has never before incarnated in this form with this portion of the light body. What we mean by this is that you are both old and new.
The soul can be compared to a vast soup (even more large for evolved beings such as yourself) and each incarnation a few spoonfuls are placed on the planet with the remainder aligned to your home planet, or star in your case. Each time you choose a mission on Earth, the soup is apportioned differently, so that the lessons can be absorbed in new ways and by new beings that you interact with. You are reformed, as new, from the old.
Unfortunately, there is only one word for 'soul', yet many more could be used to describe the essence, form, structure, incarnation, depth and age of this energy - it cannot be contained in one word, and this is why the sense may lost at times. We provide energy downloads, and turning these into words can sometimes unclear the meaning. We apologise for this and will endeavour to be more precise with our exact translation from energy to wording so that no confusion is felt going forwards..."
Being both old and new resonates with me, and it explains a lot about my contradictoy feelings in many fields. I always feel I'm old, even when I was little. But on some level, I feel new and unsophisticated to many earthly affairs, especially interactions with people.
Frankly, I didn't like this feeling - it's like an 80-year-old lady has to awkwardly learn walking and talking, and all things she is supposed to learn in her early years; part of her knows she is already a master on these things, but for some reason, she has to learn them all over again, like a child... After understanding the reason, however, I will look at things differently.
Maybe some of you have similar feelings - being both old and new :)

Yes this can be very confusing. The medium who channeled the message for you, clarifyinig things, did an outstanding job in transmitting. I am so glad that The Masters came back to clarify for you.
A good example, in Earthly terms, that I like to use is to compare it to high school and college football teams. In senior year of high school a person may be the Captian of the football team, the high school hero that everyone wants to emulate and be like. He knows all the moves, his team depends on him to lead them to victory. The same person graduates high school and enters college and is now on the college football team. Though he has been playing and learning football for 4 years in high school, he is now new to this college team. He is no longer the Captian of the team, he is no longer the hero that everyone wants to be like, he no longer knows all the moves, and he is no longer the one who the team depends on to lead them to victory. In essence he is old on the high school team and knows everything about football, but new on the college team and is learning all about football. And to take it one step further, if this same person enters the pro football league, he will start over again as a new player. Old and experienced in the world of football at one level, but new and learning in the very same world at another level.
I hope this makes sense, and that I haven't confused anyone.

Hi Yuanyuan,
I do know how you're feeling. As a child, I would frequently opt to interact with my parents' friends, even if they had brought over their children who would play without me. I was frequently told "You're an old soul" by people who weren't even spiritual, etc. I didn't understand what it meant or why they said it, but just went with it. People have always approached me, and although they barely know me, confided deep, dark secrets to me that I would not know how to handle (again, even as a child). That said, I feel as though I am still struggling to get this life started and on the right path, especially when it comes to being a Starseed. I don't know if I'm activated, I don't know if I'm from a star system, planet... I think that is part of the mystery of why we are here, though. It's one of the many paradox's we face: we know what to do, we know why we're here, but we have to re-learn it (un-learn?) and get to a point where our psyche is ready. Best of luck on your journey!
