Yesterday morning I heard a man's voice speaking what sounded like some jibberish chant.  It lasted for about second enough to get my attention.  LOL  What are they doing to me?

You are being called to meditate.  If you choose to listen this will get much clearer.  Some work is needed in order to be successful in answering this type of call.  It is a gift if you choose to receive it.

Thanks!  I never thought of that!  It does happen when I am half asleep in the early morning.  Do you have any advice on how to meditate?  I do it while walking but have trouble focusing alone.

Ok, there are many books about meditation, and there will be many more.  I can not fully explain it, but I can get you started.

Buddhist monks in Thailand do not use schedules.  They pause in between each step and take in the world around them; they stop to smell the roses each step of the way.  If something more important comes up, they go and do that; it is not a big deal if they do not show up for work or school.  They chew each bite many times and explore the flavors of their food.  They get in touch with their lives.

#1 I suppose the first thing to learn about is your brainwaves.  Most of the time most people operate with beta frequency brainwaves, which is more of a thinking than a listening or receiving state.  When we sit down after finishing a task, we operate with alpha frequency brainwaves.  Statistical research has found Alpha frequency brainwaves to be the psychic sweet spot for meditation.  People have pulled lottery numbers while operating here.  You can develop a sense of your brain and learn to control your brainwaves, and guide your meditation.

#2 Learn to feel everything energetically: feel your breath in your mouth, throat, and lungs; feel your body innately chew and swallow food and water when you put in in your mouth; feel things getting clean when you clean; feel the water on your body when in the shower.  This universe is electricity; everything is made up of protons, electrons, and neutrons.  Feeling this electricity brings us closer to the way this universe works.  Our body is an antenna for a holographic image in our mind.  Everything we know has a boundary with our senses.  Learn to become sensitive.  Sensitivity is something we can learn with practice.  It is very much a skill in many ways.  With this practice you will begin to recieve new information because you will be in the moment instead of thinking.  You become an antenna.

#3  Learn to use your breathing to take you deeper into meditation. You can control your breath, which changes the way your body functions. Your first breath is an abdominal reflex, and your belly expands.  This is the way we breath when we are relaxed.  As we take on stress our body tenses up, and we begin to breath with our rib muscles.  By exhaling all the excess air out of our lungs with a complete exhale, we induce the original abdominal reflex.  If you do this 2 times you can and will shift back to that reflex, and your body will relax.  This is one of the most valuable insights into living in a human body.  If you take deep, slow breaths your body will slow down, and you will be set up better for listening.  You'll notice that your exhale is a sigh of relief, and by releasing tension while focusing on this sigh of relief you go deeper and deeper into the meditation.

#4 Learn to align your chakras. This alignment can happen energetically, and in any position-sitting or standing. The abdominal reflex I just described is much more powerful than you will realize you are finding at first.  Ascension happens when we align our chakras and center ourselves. When you feel your energy drop down into your gut, leave it there for a moment.  Now you can begin to feel your consciousness expand down into the lower part of your body that had become numb and cut off from your awareness.  This exercise will bring a youthful energy back to you.  You will learn to stand up straighter, and your walk will find a long lost bounce to it.

#5  You can meditate in any position, but billions of monks have their similar positions for a good reason.  This good posture helps to open your heart chakra and raise your frequency into the higher realms.  Our head gets buried in the sand, and we need to pull it up out of there to see the vast horizon of our reality.  Allow your body to relax, shoulders drop down, and always use the abdominal breathing exercises.  Sometimes laying down is a better way to do it if you can not relax at the time. Just do what works.  Your guides may ask you to do certain things; do them.  They will heal you, put you in touch with loved ones that passed away, and teach you how to find things in the 3rd and many other dimensions.

#6  The most fundamental and necessary part of meditation is to open your heart to love.  You can simply ask the universe for help in opening your heart.  Ask as many times as it takes while you practice your breathing.  It will work!  When our heart opens we begin to ascend into unconditional love in the 5th dimension.  Things that used to look scary are altered into beautiful pictures.  The little issues with our parents are replaced with a bigger picture of all the good things they did for us, and things like that. The point of the meditation is to look deeply into the world in order to make things better for us.  Our perception of reality creates our reality, and by seeing love, we nurture and create love.  That is why this is the most fundamental part of it.  Ask your intuition to guide you into your heart chakra to find your starting place.  From there you will find an unlimited potential of directions to take it.  Start by opening your heart. Again, focusing on the breath is important because that is your heart chakra.

This seems like a good video to help meditate.  Brainwave entrainment brings your brainwave to the alpha frequency because your brain follows the frequency of the sounds.  Entrainment is a physics term that means, "particles in a river go the same speed as the river."  We can train our minds to operate with alpha brainwaves.

Theta brainwaves are more subconscious that alpha.  This is more like falling asleep, where alpha is more of a conscious meditation.  They can both be used to help and heal.
