That is a good beginning to be able meditate when you walk...just keep it up and it will evolve:) I can have a great meditation and channeling while am doing dishes....it is because connection with the water and thought that no one will interrupt me:)
Notice your surrounding when you walk - are there many trees? Maybe you need to connect with the nature first when you meditate and draw in its energy - be connected and then you will not have problem to meditate any time you like.
